a superb donation to my british tubular steel chair collection...

While exhibiting at the last Midcentury.Modern show I was visited by Mel Draycott of 'Limited and Co vintage chairs'. He presented me with two rather superb editions for my collection. The tiny 4.5cm tall tin-plate dolls house toy chair above (unsure if it's british or japanese) and it's big brother below...
...fantastic to be given a chair that i've never seen before! very different joints and great back rail - 'Hostess' brand made in England by Hostess Appliances Ltd - It's amazing how many variations & different makers are still being found. I guess that this Hostess was made by one of the bigger companies and sold under the Hostess label? Thanks Mel!
