i recently had to make two trips to southend on sea -worth a visit, a busy seaside town with some amazing art deco architecture. i'd love to spend a few days there next summer to photograph some of the many 1920s, 30s (and earlier) shop fronts in the town while they still remain. the first picture is the 'never-ending pier' 1.33 miles long - where you can't even focus on the end of the pier on a bad day but still worth walking (& get the train back) a web-cam on the end of the pier can be seen on the council website if you want to check the weather. the second photo is the van parked on the front at sun-down on a dryer but freezing day.
