grand piano, paris 1887. saved from the scrap man

i chased a scrap mans lorry the other day after spotting a rather nice piano ( 1887) and although it is really very badly damaged and a right-off musically i still hope to make something out of it rather than letting it go for scrap metal. i think i'll have to take out the cast iron framework as its so heavy so maybe it will go on to becoming two new pieces of furniture? my friend makin of mjm is already trying to steal the ebony keys. i've bought a few pianos in my time, mostly pianos of local interest, kingsland road made pianos from the good old days. love it when someone comes along that can play it as sadly i hardly know a note.
